Tower Bersama and Pontianak City Government Provide Free Healthcare Services

Pontianak, 5 June 2016 – PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure, Tbk., a telecommunication tower provider, deploy a Mobile Health Clinic (Monik TBIG) to provide free healthcare services to hundreds of citizens in Pontianak, West Kalimantan for 3 days in 5, 6 and 9 June 2016. These activities take place in Pal Lima Village and fully supported by the City Health Office and also the District Head of West Pontianak.

In cooperation with the city government of Pontianak, Tower Bersama Infrastructure Group (TBIG) provides general healthcare service, hygienic & healthy lifestyle counseling, disease prevention education, and medication, healthy foods for toddlers and prenatal check for pregnant women.


Major of Pontianak, Edi Rusdi Kamtono welcomes the free healthcare service activity conducted by Tower Bersama Infrastructure. “We hope this CSR activity will deliver optimal impact to Pontianak citizens,” he explained who also witnesses the event on site.

Edi Rusdi Kamtono also appreciates TBIG’s existence in the development of 4G telecommunications and CCTV infrastructure in Pontianak. “TBIG’s presence really supports Pontianak’s Smart City program,” he continued.


Head of Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Pontianak, Uray Indra Mulya affirmed the importance of increasing the utilization of mobile telecommunications infrastructure for the progress of a city; therefore he welcomes the presence of TBIG in Pontianak because it is expected to support economic improvements of the citizens.


Monik TBIG is equipped with adequate medical supplies including specified medical equipment to perform medical examination for pregnant women, children under five and the elderly. In addition to general medical assistance, Monik TBIG also provides ultrasound services for pregnant women, hygienic and healthy lifestyle counseling, disease prevention education, medication and additional foods for children under five.


Mobile Health Clinic TBIG has been in operation since 2012 and serves people in West Java, Central Java, East Java, Lampung, Palembang and Medan. “One of our CSR activities is in the health field. The characteristic of Mobile Health Clinic TBIG (Monik TBIG) is suitable to provide regular health services in addition to dealing with emergency response functions,” he explained.


Besides aiming to provide free healthcare to people affected by floods, especially pregnant women and children, Monik TBIG also operated to provide post-disaster services to the victims in various regions. Since February 2016, Monik TBIG has provided free healthcare services to 8,579 beneficiaries in 51 points of services. This Health CSR action shall be implemented throughout the year since it was first launched in 2012.


Additionally, Monik TBIG also serves people in the outmost regions of Indonesia in cooperation with the Coordinating Ministry of Human

Development and Culture and also with the Navy of Indonesian National Army. This is to support government programs in improving the quality of public health in the outer and remote islands in Indonesia.


Head of Area Partnership TBIG Ronald Andy HR said that this action is one of the showcases of company’s concern to the public. “Currently we conduct this action in Pontianak. We are very grateful for the support of Pontianak city government so that this action can be done.” he said.
