Edwin Soeryadjaya, 64 years old, has been the President Commissioner since March 2010. Edwin is a major shareholder of PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya, which since 2004 has been a major beneficial owner of the Company. Edwin is an Indonesian citizen and earned a Bachelor of Business and Administration from the University of Southern California in 1974. He currently serves as the President Commissioner of major companies including PT Adaro Energy Tbk and PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya. Formerly, he held several positions at PT Astra International (“Astra”) from 1978 to 1993, the lastest as Vice President Director. From 1987 to 1990, Edwin Soeryadjaya was involved in the restructuring of Astra and in 1990, successfully led Astra’s IPO. Today, Astra is one of the largest companies in Indonesia.
Winato Kartono, 42 years old, has been a Commissioner since March 2010. Winato is a major shareholder of PT Provident Capital Indonesia, which has been a major beneficial owner of the Company since its inception. Winato is an Indonesian citizen and he received a Bachelor of Economics degree from Trisakti University. Previously, Winato was the Head of Investment Banking in Indonesia for Citigroup Global Markets. During his eight years at Citigroup, he also served as Director in Telecommunications and as Vice President in Mergers and Acquisitions. In these roles, he developed extensive relationships with many business executives and government leaders in Southeast Asia. Among key clients were various multinational companies, including PT Telkom, Telekom Malaysia, Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad, SingaporeTechnologies Telemedia Pte Ltd, L’Oreal, Nestle,and Heinz. Prior to joining Citigroup, he worked for Arthur Andersen and Bank Sumitomo Niaga in Jakarta.
Herry Tjahjana, 62 years old, has been an Independent Commissioner since March 2010. Herry is an Indonesian citizen and he is a 1973 graduate of the Indonesian Armed Forces Academy. He received a Bachelor Degree in Political Science from the Universitas Terbuka. He was formerly the Commander of the Fourth Military Regional Command/Tanjung Pura (2003-2005) in Kalimantan, as well as the Commander of the Ninth Military Regional Command/Udayana in Bali/West Nusa Tenggara/East Nusa Tenggara (2005-2006) and subsequently served as the Chief of General Staff’s Operations Assistant at the Headquarters of the of the Indonesian Army whereby his last position was as the Vice Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (2006-2008). Herry previously served as the President Director of PT Antang Gunung Meratus (2009-2010). Herry is a 2000 graduate of LEMHANAS (National Resilience Institute) where he obtained a Certificate of Leadership.
Mustofa, 64 years old, has been an Independent Commissioner since March 2010. Mustofa is an Indonesian citizen and received a Bachelor of Economics degree with a major in Accounting from University of Airlangga. He established a public accounting firm under the name of KAP Mustofa and later changed it to KAP Hans Tuanakotta & Mustofa of Deloitte Touche & Tohmatsu Indonesian representative. His most recent position at KAP Hans Tuanakotta & Mustofa/ Deloitte Touche & Tohmatsu was Managing Partner Audit. Currently, he is President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner in several companies. He is a member of ABF-BI (Asian Bond Fund-Indonesia Bond Index), Fund Bahana as well as the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI).
Wahyuni Bahar, 51 years old, has been an Independent Commissioner since December 2012. Wahyuni is an Indonesian citizen and has a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from McGill University, Montreal, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Institute of Social Studies, the Hague, Netherlands and a Law Degree from the Universitas Padjajaran Bandung. Wahyuni has over 19 years of experience as a legal consultant specializing in Corporate Finance and the Capital Markets. He is the founder and managing partner of Bahar & Partners Law Firm (1992-present). Wahyuni’s previous experience in law and investments includes as the shareholder and Commissioner of PT Mitra Bhadra Consulting (2010-2012), shareholder and Commissioner of PT Baris Capital (2007- 2011), Founder and Executive Director of the Center of Finance, Investment & Securities Law (CFISEL) from 2006 to 2010, and as the Founder and Research Manager of the Indonesian Environmental Law Center (1993-1996).
