TBIG Partners with Kadin Institute to Develop Culinary Entrepreneurship Potential Among Young People
Jakarta, July 14, 2025 - PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure, Tbk. has launched the “Culinary Micro Business Fellowship” program to provide young people with opportunities to develop their entrepreneurial potential in the culinary field.
In implementing this initiative, TBIG is collaborating with the Kadin Institute in Pekalongan and the Bangun Bersama Cooperative, which serves members in the Semarang and Pekalongan regions. Through this collaboration, TBIG is adopting a comprehensive approach to developing local economic potential in its operational areas.
The training program will cover the development of skills in producing hygienic and high-quality culinary products, interest-free capital support, an introduction to micro-business management covering aspects such as production cost calculation, pricing strategies, inventory management, and healthy business financial management, and technological infrastructure in the form of the Small and Medium Enterprise Financial Administration System (SAKU), which will assist micro-business operators in running their businesses in an accountable and efficient manner, thereby ensuring good profitability.
Naila Farha, S.Pd., M.A., Director of KADIN Institute, stated, "KADIN Institute is very enthusiastic about this program. The combination of quality training and support from the Bangun Bersama Cooperative and TBIG in various aspects of economic empowerment is a comprehensive solution for creating independent and sustainable young entrepreneurs."
The training consists of two phases: skill training and incubation. Skill training will be conducted over one month, while incubation (mentoring) will be carried out over 12 months. During this mentoring period, participants will be challenged to develop communities through below-the-line and above-the-line activities. Through the communities formed, program alumni can continue to support one another, share experiences, and build strong business networks.
"Indonesian youth possess significant creative potential that can be realized. We simply provide a little encouragement, opportunities, and support in terms of technological infrastructure and knowledge to advance Indonesian society,“ explained Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support Officer at TBIG. He emphasized that cooperatives play a crucial role in grassroots economic development. ”We partner with cooperatives as strategic allies to equip them with skills, economic independence, and real opportunities to contribute positively to society," he concluded.
TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi added, "Through the Culinary Micro Business Fellowship program, we aim to ensure that young people, especially in our operational areas, have access to skills, mentoring, and concrete support to start their businesses. The partnership with KADIN Institute and Bangun Bersama Cooperative is a tangible manifestation of TBIG’s commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem. We believe that investing in the potential of today’s youth is the foundation for more equitable economic growth in the future,” said Herman.
