To Celebrate Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, TBIG Reaches 81 Villages with Health Education and Services
Jakarta, August 10, 2026 — PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) mobilized 81 teams of healthcare volunteers to provide health education, medical services, supplementary food aid, and clean water to communities in 81 villages and neighborhoods across various regions in Indonesia. To support these efforts, TBIG also deployed six mobile clinics. The volunteer teams consist of trained medical personnel, health educators, and doctors from local community health centers (Puskesmas) at the activity sites.
Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support, stated that this initiative reached 81 villages and subdistricts from Aceh to Papua. “This initiative is a manifestation of our commitment and collaboration with stakeholders in TBIG’s operational areas. We are using the commemoration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day as an opportunity to reach out to the most remote and frontier areas, as well as villages and subdistricts that still face various health challenges,” he explained.
He added that the TBIG health education program is being implemented on an ongoing basis in 34 provinces across Indonesia. “For the month of August, we are targeting 81 locations in 62 regencies and cities spread across 29 provinces,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi emphasized that the company’s commitment to public health is part of its efforts to provide long-term benefits to communities in the areas surrounding TBIG’s operations.
“For us, TBIG’s presence in a region isn’t just about providing telecommunications infrastructure, but also about how we can deliver tangible benefits to the community. Through ongoing health programs, we aim to help raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, while also supporting local government efforts to improve public health,” said Herman.
According to Herman, promotive and preventive approaches are important because improving public health requires collective participation and awareness.
“Efforts to maintain health cannot be achieved through medical services alone. Education, prevention, environmental hygiene, healthy eating habits, and regular health checkups are all important parts of building a healthier community. That is why we continue to expand the reach of this program and collaborate with local governments, healthcare workers, and the local community,” he added.
TBIG has consistently carried out CSR activities in the health sector since 2012, with its reach expanding year after year. By 2026, TBIG aims to conduct 576 educational activities on healthy lifestyles, healthy eating habits, and environmental sanitation throughout Indonesia. The services provided include health education, supplementary food assistance, and free metabolic screenings, with a target of 253,440 beneficiaries.
To kick off the “Bangun Sehat Bersama” program series, TBIG will hold an event in Natuna, Riau Islands. The event will take place at two locations: Ceruk Village and Kelanga Village, in Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict, Natuna Regency.
In addition to educational sessions on healthy eating habits, this event also included free health screenings and the distribution of basic food supplies to 800 residents of Ceruk and Kelanga villages in Bunguran Timur Laut Subdistrict, Natuna Regency.
