Active Role in Supporting the Government in Overcoming Covid-19, TBIG Distributes Personal Protective Equipment Assistance to the Malang City Government
Malang, July 23, 2020 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") through the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program which is part of the Company's CSR which is devoted to supporting government efforts and programs in accelerating the Covid-19 response and helping affected communities, routinely and consistently continues to strive to distribute assistance, one of which is in the form of PPE which is very useful for medical personnel on the front lines.
After previously the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program reached several provinces and cities such as Bali, Semarang, Surabaya, South Tangerang, Central Java, Bogor and several other regions, this time the PPE donation was distributed to the Malang City Government ("Pemkot") which is also trying to overcome the spread of Covid-19 in the city.
The handover of PPE assistance in the form of disposable masks, disposable gloves, and isolation gowns, was symbolically handed over by TBIG representatives, represented by the Regional Operation Maintenance Dept. Head – East Java, Supriyanto and PM SACME Dept. Head – East Java, Aji Bagus Wibowo and received directly by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji today (23/7).
The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji at the PPE handover ceremony, welcomed and appreciated the assistance from TBIG which will be used for the needs of medical personnel in protecting themselves to be maximum in providing services to the community and treating Covid-19 patients. In the midst of today's pandemic conditions, the need for PPE and medical equipment is urgently needed by medical personnel at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
Regional Operation Maintenance Dept Head – East Java, Supriyanto said, the donations distributed by TBIG, are expected to be optimally useful in helping the efforts being made by the government against Covid-19, especially the Malang City Government. "TBIG has always been and will continue to provide real support in helping the government's efforts and programs to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, this is a tangible form of TBIG's contribution as one of the components of the nation in its concern for others," he said.
PM SACME Dept. Head – East Java, Aji Bagus Wibowo added, the priority of donations that we are currently distributing is in the form of PPE and medical equipment where the assistance is urgently needed by medical workers on the front line who are in direct contact with the community. "TBIG hopes that the donation in the form of PPE can provide protection to our colleagues at the front line, and hopefully it can be maximally utilized by them in an effort to overcome the spread of Covid-19, especially in Malang City," he said.
