Bersama Membangun Negeri: TBIG Provides Health Service and Social Assistance in 79 Villages.
Jakarta, August 8th, 2024 - In celebration of the 79th Independence Day of Republic of Indonesia, PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) organized a social service in itiative held in 79 villages across the Indonesian archipelago, involving TBIG Mobil Klinik (MONIK). The CSR program, titled “Bersama Membangun Negeri” aims to make tangible contribution to the well-being of communities, especially in TBIG’s operational areas.
This social service initiative began on August 8 th with simultaneous activities in 17 locations across several regions in Indonesia. Hamfolo Village, located in Sentani lake, Papua, was the starting point of this initiative, with social services and the distribution of nutritious food aid to 200 households in the village, situated in the middle of Sentani Lake. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Ebungfauw Health Center and indigenous community leaders in the village.
Two hours after the initial action began, similar activities were carried out simultaneously in various regions of Indonesia. These initiatives will continue in 62 other locations, in Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, East and West Nusa Tenggara, throughout August of 2024.
This program is a part of TBIG’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment in the health pillar, aimed at improving community well-being through health service and the provision of urgent basic needs.
TBIG’s Chief of Business Support Officer, Lie Si An, stated, “This activity will be carried out during August in various area in Indonesia, starting from Papua all the way to Sabang in Aceh province.” Lie Si An added that the health service is carried out by deploying professional medical team consisting of 12 to 15 members which consists of 3 doctors and health workers.
Meanwhile, Herman Setya Budi, President Director of TBIG, added that this initiative is not only an expression of gratitude for Indonesia’s independence but also a reflection of the company’s commitment to social responsibility. “TBIG will always be involved dan continuously contributed assisting the government and the community in addressing social issues. We are committed to fulfilling our corporate social responsibility,” he emphasized.
The MONIK initiative not only provides social assistance and health services but also aims to improve the well-being of communities based on local needs. Additionally, this activity is expected to have a positive impacts on communites around the company’s operational areas. Through this program, TBIG looksforward to making a significant positive impact on communities across Indonesia and supporting national priority programs aimed at improving the community’s quality of life.
