Caring for the Covid-19 Disaster, TBIG Again Distributes Ventilator and PPE Donations to Help the Makassar City Government

Makassar, 28 July 2020 – Responding to the development of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") continues to provide maximum support to the government and the community by providing donation assistance for respiratory aids in the form of ventilators and PPE which are prioritized for medical personnel and hospitals who are at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19. Through the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program, which is one of TBIG's CSR programs and has been applied in a large number of regions in Indonesia, the donation of ventilators and PPE on this occasion will be handed over to RSAD TK.II Pelamonia in Makassar City.

The provision of ventilator and PPE donation assistance in the form of disposable masks, disposable gloves and isolation gowns was handed over directly by TBIG representatives represented by Area Operation Division Head – IV / Kalsulmalpua, Andre Rusdi and Regional Operation Maintenance Department Head – Sulawesi, Andri Potabuga and Project Management SACME Department Head – Sulmalpua, Edy Susanto which was received by Karumkit RS TK.II Pelamonia Makassar, Colonel. Ckm dr Pontjo Yunarko Sp. PD. MARS., FINASIM and witnessed directly by the Acting Mayor of Makassar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rudy Djamaluddin, M. Eng, Dandim 1408/BS Makassar Col. Kav. Dwi Irbaya and Kakesdam XIV/Hasanuddin Col. Ckm dr. Soni Endro Cahyono Wicaksono on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Along with the handover of this assistance, the Makassar City Government and Kodam XI / Hasanuddin expressed their gratitude to TBIG for the donation of ventilators and PPE. This donation will be used as well as possible to support hospitals and medical personnel in Makassar City in tackling the spread of Covid-19.

Full hope was also expressed by the Area Operation Division Head – IV/Kalsulmalpua, Andre Rusdi. Through the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program, TBIG has always been at the forefront of supporting the Government's programs and efforts to overcome the spread of Covid-19. "This donation is a tangible form of TBIG's commitment to reduce the impact of Covid-19, especially in an effort to protect medical personnel on the front lines against Covid-19 and hopefully it can be optimally utilized by hospitals and medical personnel in Makassar City".

Regional Operation Maintenance Department Head – Sulawesi, Andri Potabuga added, this donation is a form of support from TBIG to the government, especially the Makassar City Government as well as medical personnel as the front line for their dedication and hard work during this difficult situation. "TBIG hopes that the donations in the form of ventilators and PPE provided can contribute to protecting medical workers and supporting the Makassar City Government in fighting Covid-19," he added.

The same thing was conveyed by the Project Management SACME Department Head – Sulmalpua, Edy Susanto, seeing the reality in the field related to the need for respiratory equipment in the form of ventilators and the availability of PPE that is urgently needed by medical personnel, TBIG prioritizes donations distributed in the form of these two needs. "This assistance is prioritized in the form of ventilators and PPE for hospitals and medical personnel in an effort to provide maximum service to the community and maintain health when in contact with Covid-19 patients in Makassar City," he said.
