Commemorating Nutrition Day, TBIG Holds Health Education and Distributes Nutritious Food in 25 Locations

Jakarta, January 28, 2025 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), one of the leading issuers on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, celebrated National Nutrition Day by organizing health education activities and distributing nutritious food in 25 locations across 15 districts/cities in East Java, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, West Java, DKI Jakarta, and Lampung. This initiative successfully reached up to 11,000 beneficiaries.

Lie Si An, Chief Business Support Officer of TBIG, emphasized that this program is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which focus on social issues. “Addressing social issues requires cooperation and participation from various stakeholders, including businesses. Through our four CSR pillars, TBIG implements sustainable social programs based on good corporate governance (GCG) principles,” she stated.

As a initiative under the health pillar Building Health Together”, TBIG prioritizes health education and the distribution of nutritious food for toddlers and pregnant women. Lie Si An added, “This program is not just a celebration of National Nutrition Day, it will continue throughout 2025 in various regions across Indonesia, from west to east. This year’s National Nutrition Day marks the beginning of this long-term initiative.”

Meanwhile, Herman Setya Budi, President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, reaffirmed that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. “Through this initiative, we want to contribute to supporting government programs, particularly in improving the nutrition of children and pregnant women. This is a real form of TBIG’s Good Corporate Citizenship implementation,” he explained.

According to data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (IHS) released by the Ministry of Health, the nutritional status of toddlers in Indonesia remains concerning, with a stunting prevalence of 21.5% and 16.9% of pregnant women facing the risk of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). This situation requires collective attention and action.

TBIG’s CSR program is expected to have a positive impact on raising public awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition while supporting the government’s target of reducing stunting rates and CED risk in pregnant women. Through a collaborative and sustainable approach, TBIG continues to strengthen its role in fostering a healthier and more prosperous society.
