Helping to Overcome Covid-19, TBIG Through the Bersama Kita Berber Program, Again Donates PPE to the Padang City Government
Padang, 17 September 2020 – The spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia continues to increase, as a form of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") commitment in helping the government and the community, especially Padang City, West Sumatra, TBIG again distributed donations in the form of a number of PPE that will be given to the Padang City Government ("Pemkot"). This assistance is part of the Company's social responsibility (CSR) initiative through the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program. This program aims to support the government and ease the burden on residents and hospitals in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and has been applied in a large number of regions in Indonesia.
The handover ceremony of donations in the form of PPE such as 500 pairs of disposable gloves, 6,460 units of disposable masks and 125 hazmat suits was symbolically handed over by TBIG representatives represented by Area Operation Div Head – Sumatra, Wijoyo Tunjung Cahyono and Project Management SACME Department Head Sumbagteng, Dasrizal to the Padang City Government witnessed by Chief Product & Innovation, Mr. Gusandi Sjamsudin representing TBIG management online through a virtual application and received directly by the Mayor of Padang, Mr. Hj Mahyeldi Ansyarullah, S.P. who was accompanied by the Head of Communication and Informatics of Padang City, Mr. Dr. Ir. Rudy Rinaldy M.T., Head of Emergency and Logistics of BPBD Padang City, Mr. Sutan Hendra S.T. and Head of Health of the Padang City Government, Mrs. dr. Ferimulyani Hamid, M.Biomed.
Area Operation Div Head – 2 Sumatra, Wijoyo Tunjung Cahyono revealed that this social activity is TBIG's effort to support the Government during the pandemic against Covid-19. "TBIG's active role through the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program is expected to be able to increase public awareness to always maintain personal hygiene and health while encouraging a sense of concern for all components of the nation so that they can jointly face Covid-19, not only health workers on the front lines," he explained.
Project Management SACME Department Head of Sumbagteng, Dasrizal added, This PPE donation is one of the many CSR activities of TBIG, especially the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program which has been carried out several times since the Covid-19 pandemic was detected in Indonesia. "This is a form of TBIG's seriousness and commitment to support the government's programs and efforts to accelerate the Covid-19 response in the country," he said.
Meanwhile, the Padang City Government welcomes and appreciates the donation activities carried out by TBIG and expressed gratitude for TBIG's concern where this PPE donation is very beneficial for Covid-19 mitigation efforts in Padang City.
