Improving Vocational School Competence, TBIG Provides Training to 1,000 Students and Alumni in Bandung

Bandung, November 20, 2025A total of 1,000 students and alumni from SMK Informatika and SMK Angkasa Margahayu Bandung have benefited from a series of in-class and on-site training sessions organized by PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) throughout this year. The program is part of TBIG's flagship curriculum for vocational schools, designed to bridge the needs of the telecommunications industry with the competencies of vocational school graduates.

This was revealed by TBIG Chief Business Support Officer Lie Si An, while attending the SMK Leading Curriculum on-site training held in Lembang, West Bandung.

“We invite our partners to share their knowledge with SMK graduates and teachers who teach subjects related to telecommunications infrastructure,” explained Li Si An while attending this on-site training activity.

On the same occasion, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between TBIG and several telecommunications industry partners. This collaboration marks a strategic step in the implementation of the Leading Curriculum as a joint CSR program between TBIG and its partners.

On-site training brings in instructors and experts from the industry to provide technical training on telecommunications tower maintenance and occupational safety practices in the field. This is the 11th on-site training held by TBIG in 2025, with a total of 87 participants in the latest session.

Implementing ESG in the Supply Chain

Lie Si An said that TBIG's Leading Curriculum program for vocational schools is also intended to cultivate the implementation of ESG in the company's supply chain. “This program facilitates partners to take concrete action in the social and governance aspects. Directly, they contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs),” he explained.

President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Herman Setya Budi, added that collaboration with partners in this program is proof of the company's commitment to consistent ESG implementation.

“Involving partners in SDG-oriented programs demonstrates our seriousness about sustainable development. In addition, improving the quality of human resources in the telecommunications sector is a long-term investment for the nation,” said Herman.

He emphasized that this type of training opens up broader employment opportunities for vocational school students while improving the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.
