PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk Accomodates Logistical Assistance For TNI Soldiers at RI-PNG Border

Jakarta, August 27, 2024 - In commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), prove its commitment to support TNI soldiers who are in charge of maintaining state sovereignty in border areas. Through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, TBIG gives moral support and assistance for TNI soldiers stationed at the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea (PNG) border area.

In a recent event, TBIG's CSR team, in collaboration with the Maluku Papua Regional Office, visited the post of the RI-PNG Border Task Force Yonko 461 Kopasgat. The visit aimed to deliver logistical support in the form of food supplies, which were handed over directly on Friday, August 9th, 2024, by the Regional Manager of Maluku Papua PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Makmur, to the Commander of the RIPNG Border Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Diki Apriyadi.

President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Herman Setya Budi, stated that this assistance is expected to boost the morale of the soldiers in carrying out their duty to safeguard the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia. He also highlighted the importance of telecommunications towers at the border as strategic assets in supporting communication in the area. “The presence of telecommunications tower assets at the border is crucial in supporting the task of defending the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia, which we all cherish.”

In addition to focusing on support for TNI soldiers, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk also carries out various other social activities. Chief of Business Support Officer, Lie Si An, explained that TBIG remains committed to providing social assistance throughout the year, not limited to August. “We mobilize a medical team consisting of doctors and trained health workers to provide healthcare services and education, as well as distribute nutritious food assistance to members of the community in the company’s operational areas,” he explained.

Furthermore, Lie Si An mentioned that TBIG’s medical team is also actively involved in supporting the Ministry of Health’s program to accelerate the reduction of stunting in several regions of Indonesia . “We have deployed healthcare teams to five provinces to help combat stunting,” he added.

Throughout August 2024, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk continues to carry out various social activities in different regions across Indonesia as part of the 79th Independence Day celebration. This program is a tangible proof of TBIG contribution in supporting the well-being of the community and maintaining the sovereignty of Republic of Indonesia.
