Rote Island, TBIG's Southernmost Site, Becomes the Location for 80 National Social Service Locations

Jakarta, September 19, 2025 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving community welfare through a national social service program. In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, TBIG held social activities at 80 locations throughout Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. One of the special activities was carried out on Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara, known as Indonesia's southernmost island. Of the 12 TBIG sites on the island, three sites were selected as activity centers, including the company's southernmost site. Through this action, TBIG succeeded in providing tangible benefits to 489 families in the 3T (Frontier, Outermost, Disadvantaged) regions.

The social service activity in Kuli Aiesele Village, Lobalain District, focused on educating residents on the proper way to wash their hands. This simple education has a big impact, considering that data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2022 shows that washing hands with soap can reduce the risk of diarrhea by up to 40% and prevent various environmentally-based infectious diseases. During the education session, residents were given practical understanding of the important times to wash their hands and techniques that meet health standards, so that they can immediately apply this knowledge in their daily lives. In addition to education, TBIG also distributed food packages containing nutritious food to 100 families in Kuli Aiesele Village, as a form of direct support to improve the nutritional quality of the local community.

The community's enthusiasm for this activity was evident from the warm welcome they gave. TBIG was greeted with the traditional Teorenda dance as a welcome, and the activity was closed with the Kebalai Dance, which involved the participation of residents and company representatives. This tradition symbolizes the bond of brotherhood and the community's gratitude to TBIG. One resident, Demi Utmiri, said that this activity was very beneficial for his family. According to him, the health information obtained can be directly applied at home, while the food packages help meet daily needs.

Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support Officer at TBIG, explained that the activities on Rote Island are part of the company's ongoing efforts to support healthy lifestyles among communities, particularly in 3T areas. He added that TBIG consistently implements similar social programs in various regions, and by 2025 aims to carry out 500 health education activities and distribute nutritious food. This program is not only intended to provide direct benefits, but also to build public awareness of the importance of maintaining the health of families and the surrounding environment.

TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi emphasized that all of TBIG's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities are not merely ceremonial, but a tangible manifestation of a long-term commitment. All company initiatives are carried out based on the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and guided by ISO 26000. With this approach, TBIG ensures that the benefits of the programs implemented can be felt directly and sustainably by the community, especially those around the company's operational areas.
