TBIG Deploys a Team of Health Workers to Help Implement COVID-19 Vaccination in Cirebon
Cirebon, August 14, 2021 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") deployed a team of health workers to assist in the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in Sunyaragi Village, Cirebon, West Java. This activity is a collaboration between TBIG and the West Java Provincial Health Office, especially the Cirebon City Health Office. The location of this COVID-19 vaccination activity was carried out at the Majasem Health Center, Sunyaragi Village, Cirebon.
Regarding this vaccination activity, the Cirebon Health Office and TBIG are targeting 100 to 150 vaccine recipients from around the Sunyaragi sub-district area, while people outside Sunyaragi sub-district who want to participate in vaccination are still allowed as long as the availability of the vaccine is still available by presenting an Identity Card ("KTP").
This activity is part of a series of TBIG's CSR activities in supporting the acceleration of the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in various regions in Indonesia. In July 2021, TBIG has also dispatched five teams of health workers to assist the Central Jakarta Police in carrying out vaccinations in the Central Jakarta Metro area, in collaboration with the Menteng Police.
Chief of Business Support Officer, Lie Si An, said that TBIG has prepared 17 teams of health workers to be dispatched in various regions in Indonesia. "Each team consists of 10-12 health workers consisting of doctors and nurses. In August, we will send them alternately to various regions in Central Java, West Java, East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan and Sumatra," he explained.
President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Herman Setya Budi revealed that the assistance of the health worker team from TBIG aims to help accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination program that is being run by the government. "We hope that our participation in overcoming COVID-19 can provide benefits to the wider community. We really support the efforts of the government and the community in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic," he explained.
