TBIG Deploys Fleet of Clinic Cars and Health Workers to Help COVID-19 Vaccination
Jakarta, 29 July 2021 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") has deployed six fleet of clinic cars ("MONIK TBIG") to assist the government's efforts to accelerate the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in various regions in Indonesia. In its implementation, this activity will cover several areas on the islands of Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan in collaboration with related agencies.
This activity began with a five-day COVID-19 vaccination at the Menteng Police Station with a target of 750 beneficiaries. The activity was held from July 27 – 31, 2021. In this activity, TBIG mobilized 12 health workers to assist the POLRI team from the Central Jakarta Metro Police in providing services to the community.
President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Herman Setya Budi said that TBIG's CSR program is indeed designed to be able to respond to the needs of stakeholders to jointly overcome social problems that arise. "TBIG is very concerned about the conditions faced by the community and the government today. This activity aims to help the government and the community in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is hoped that TBIG's participation through the Mobile Clinic CSR team can have a positive impact on accelerating vaccination," he explained.
Meanwhile, TBIG's Chief of Business Support, Lie Si An explained that six units of clinic cars have been prepared to support the government and the community in overcoming COVID-19. "We provide vaccine mobilization, health workers and volunteers who have been trained to help the community. In each action, we will deploy 10-12 health workers consisting of doctors and paramedics," he explained.
Furthermore, Lie Si An explained that the Mobile Clinic CSR team has often been dispatched to help people in various regions, especially residents affected by disasters. Among them are post-disaster relief activities in Aceh, Hulu Sungai Tengah, Banjar, Mamuju, Yogykarta, Bali, Lombok and Majene. In this area, MONIK medical personnel provide assistance in the form of free health services and logistical assistance to people affected by the disaster.
COVID-19 MITIGATION ASSISTANCE
Since 2020, the company has also distributed various COVID-19 mitigation assistance to various regions in Indonesia. In 2020, TBIG provided medical equipment assistance to 16 hospitals in 10 provinces in the form of masks (132,040 pcs), gloves (17,492 pcs), isolation gowns (14,236 pcs), thermoguns, and ventilators (9 units). In addition to medical assistance, TBIG also distributed assistance in the form of 51,579 packages of staple food to help daily income community members affected by PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) in the company's operational areas.
"In 2021 until June, we have run programs to help people with daily incomes face social conditions related to COVID-19. There are more than 12 thousand beneficiaries who have received assistance from TBIG," he added.
