TBIG Deploys Healthcare Teams to Assist West Java Government in Mass Vaccination Program
Bandung, 23 August 2021 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") continues its commitment to support government efforts in carrying out COVID-19 vaccinations. During the COVID-19 vaccination program organized by the West Java Provincial Government ("Pemprov Jabar") from August 23 to 28, 2021, TBIG deployed 16 healthcare teams ("nakes") and two Mobile Clinics (MONIK) to assist the West Java COVID-19 Task Force. This initiative is part of TBIG’s broader efforts to support the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination across 17 regencies and cities.
The COVID-19 vaccination event, hosted by Pemprov Jabar, was inaugurated by West Java Governor Dr. H. Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, S.T., M.U.D., and attended by Secretary General of the National Defense Council Vice Admiral TNI Dr. Ir. Harjo Susmoro, S.Sos., S.H., S.Pi., M.H., on August 23, 2021, at the Al Jabbar Mosque courtyard in Bandung. The event targeted residents in Bandung City and surrounding areas, offering 10,000 vaccine doses.
Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support at TBIG, stated that the company remains committed to assisting the government and society during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We will continue to deploy our healthcare teams to help accelerate the implementation of COVID-19 vaccinations," he said.
He also explained that TBIG’s healthcare teams would not only be deployed in West Java and Jakarta but also in Kalimantan, Central Java, East Java, Sumatra, and Nusa Tenggara. "We have trained teams ready to assist in COVID-19 vaccination efforts in coordination with local authorities. TBIG has been carrying out these activities since July 2021 and will continue as long as required by the government," said Lie Si An.
Herman Setya Budi, President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, emphasized that the deployment of healthcare teams aims to support the government's COVID-19 vaccination program. "We will remain active in assisting with COVID-19 mitigation, particularly in accelerating vaccinations across various regions in Indonesia. We continue to coordinate with relevant parties to ensure the success of this effort," he explained.
