TBIG Distributes Humanitarian Aid to Flood Victims in 5 Districts in Bali Province
Bali, November 16, 2022 – As a form of concern for others, PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") provides humanitarian assistance to flood victims in Bali Province. Extreme weather and high rainfall intensity have caused several sub-districts in Bali Province to be flooded. In response to the needs of assistance from people affected by the disaster, TBIG distributed 2,300 humanitarian and logistics aid packages in 5 districts in Bali Province, including Jembrana, Tabanan, Karangasem, Klungkung, and Gianyar Regencies. The assistance is part of the Build Healthy Together initiative which is one of the Pillars of TBIG's Health CSR.
The distribution of humanitarian aid will be distributed to flood-affected areas in 5 districts in Bali Province in stages and will be handed over through local government representatives. Based on data issued by the Bali Provincial BPBD and village officials, as of October 25, 2022, at 07.00 WITA, the fatality that was temporarily recorded was 1 person with a total of 3,243 affected residents.
Chief of Business Support of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk., Lie Si An explained that humanitarian assistance is part of post-disaster handling activities carried out through the Bangun Sehat Bersama CSR pillar. "The assistance we provide is to help the community and local governments after a disaster. We support the disaster recovery," he said.
