TBIG Donates Ventilators and PPE to Support RSUD Handling Covid-19 in Bali

Denpasar, May 22, 2020 – Responding to the social developments that occurred during Covid-19, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") launched a CSR program with the theme "Bersama Kita Berbagi" to contribute to easing the burden on community members and hospitals facing the current conditions. Through this program, TBIG supports the Denpasar City Government ("Pemkot") and the Badung Regency Government ("Pemkab") by donating ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) for handling Covid-19 which will later be distributed to hospitals in the two regions. This donation is expected to help medical personnel and hospitals in treating Covid-19 patients.

The donation ceremony in the form of ventilators and PPE was handed over by TBIG representatives represented by Area Operation Div Head – 3 TBIG, Dwi Puja Sastra and Regional Operation Maintenance Dept. Head – BaliNusra TBIG, Kusbadi to the Denpasar City Government and Badung Regency Government in Bali, Friday (22/5) to be facilitated by the Denpasar City Government and Badung Regency Government to be distributed directly to Wangaya Denpasar Hospital and Mangusada Badung Hospital.

Dwi Puja Sastra explained that this donation is a form of social action and corporate social response (CSR) which has been carried out since April 23 to coincide with the arrival of the month of Ramadan until the next few weeks in various regions in Indonesia. "In the midst of this virus pandemic, he also invited all components of the nation to work together to help the government prevent and overcome Covid-19 considering that many hospitals are starting to have difficulty getting adequate PPE and medical equipment for handling Covid-19 patients," he said.

Regional Operation Maintenance Dept. Head – BaliNusra TBIG, Kusbadi added "Medical personnel who are at the forefront of dealing with this outbreak need attention. Donation assistance is currently prioritized on PPE and ventilator machines to support the hospital in adding adequate stock for handling Covid-19 patients," he explained.

The two units of ventilator machines will be given to Wangaya Denpasar Hospital and Mangusada Badung Hospital. In addition, TBIG also provided assistance with 10,130 medical masks, 2,386 pairs of medical gloves, 936 hazmat suits and 8 units of forehead thermometers.

TBIG hopes that this donation can be useful as well as possible and can be used by medical personnel and hospitals who have an important role in the forefront of handling Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the Denpasar City Government and the Badung Regency Government also appreciated the donation of medical equipment and PPE for the needs of medical personnel and hospitals in the two areas. Currently, the need for PPE and medical equipment is urgently needed by the hospital to protect medical personnel in treating Covid-19 patients. Government data stated that until Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the number of confirmed positive cases in the Bali Province area was 371, 4 people died and 276 people recovered.
