TBIG Donates Ventilators and PPE to Support the Central Java Provincial Government in Handling Covid-19
Semarang, June 26, 2020 – For the umpteenth time, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") distributed medical equipment donations in the form of ventilators and PPE as part of the Company's social responsibility (CSR) initiative through the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program. This program aims to support the government and ease the burden on residents and hospitals in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. This time the donation of ventilators and PPE was distributed to the Provincial Government ('Pemprov') of Central Java which is expected to help the Central Java Provincial Government in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The assistance provided to the Central Java Provincial Government includes 1 unit of ventilator machines, 5,000 units of medical masks, 500 pairs of disposable gloves, 500 hazmat suits, and 4 units of forehead thermometers. The donation handover ceremony was handed over by TBIG representatives represented by the Regional Operation Maintenance Dept. Head – Central Java, Fanel Victor Situmorang and PM Sacme Dept. Head – Central Java, Agung Pintoko on Friday, June 26 which was received directly by the Governor of Central Java, Mr. Ganjar Pranowo.
Regional Operation Maintenance Dept. Head – Central Java, Fanel Victor Situmorang explained that this donation activity is part of the "Bersama Kita Berbagi" program which is part of the Company's CSR by providing benefits and helping people who are facing the Covid-19 pandemic as well as supporting hospitals, doctors and medical personnel who are at the forefront of being able to serve and raise hope and save many people. "Medical device assistance is currently needed to support the government and the community as well as medical workers in overcoming health problems caused by Covid-19. Therefore, TBIG wants to continue to contribute and actively play a role in supporting the government and medical workers in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully this assistance can improve services to the community," he said.
Dept. Head of Central Java Sacme PM, Agung Pintoko added that this donation is a form of support from TBIG to the government, especially the Central Java Provincial Government as well as medical personnel as the front line for their dedication and hard work during this difficult situation. "TBIG hopes that the donations in the form of ventilators and PPE given can contribute to protecting medical workers and supporting the Central Java Provincial Government in fighting Covid-19," he added.
Meanwhile, the Central Java Provincial Government welcomes and appreciates the assistance of respiratory aids in the form of ventilators and PPE for the needs of medical personnel and hospitals in Central Java province. In the midst of a pandemic like today, ventilators and PPE for medical workers on the front lines are a very vital need, considering the increasing need while the availability of respiratory aids in the form of ventilators and PPE is still very limited.
