TBIG GOLF TOURNAMENT 2013

In appreciation of what we have accomplished to date as well as to enhance our relationship and services with our business partners, particularly the wireless telecommunication operators in Indonesia, the Tower Bersama Group hosted a golf tournament, which served as an ideal gathering to strengthen the close relationships we have built with our partners.

The TBIG 2013 Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, and was the second golf tournament organized by TBIG.  The inaugural TBIG Golf Tournament was held on 19 May 2012 at the Pantai Indah Kapuk Golf Course and was participated by around 120 representatives of 9 telecommunication operators such as Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, Smart Fren, First Media, HCPT, B-Tel and TBIG partners.

Held at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club Halim Perdana Kusuma, which was the venue of the 2013 Indonesian Masters Golf Tournament, TBIG wanted to invite its business partners to experience the nuances of the golf course during a game of Callaway 36. There was no doubt about the enthusiasm displayed by the participants because this year's TBIG Golf Tournament was attended by 240 players! Fantastic!

Shotgun was conducted by the VIP participants namely, Gatot Trihargo (Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises), Abdul Satar, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Alex J. Sinaga (Director of Telkomsel) at exactly 7 AM.

Various exciting prizes in Hole Number One also awaited participants such as Honda Brio, a deposit worth Rp. 100,000,000, Honda Jazz, Pajero Sports 2WD Exceed A/T, BMW 320i Luxury and a Mercedes C200.  Other interesting prizes were also prepared for participants to take home who were able to win games in par 3.

Towards the afternoon and under the scorching sun, the participants were finally able to complete all the holes.  The event continued with lunch and the distribution of Door prizes that was much anticipated by participants.  The prizes, which  ranged from golf equipments, the latest gadgets, to a Scoopy motorcycle, Piaggio Vespa LX 125 and Piaggio Zip, was distributed to the tournament participants as the Door prizes. The event’s MC, Nico Siahaan and Ella, successfully created a more festive atmosphere through the humor displayed throughout the event.  To close the event, Mulan Jameela enticed participants with her moves that caused the audience unwilling to leave.

Almost all participants indicated their joy and satisfaction with this year’s TBIG Golf Tournament and were hopeful that this event will become an annual event.  In his opening remarks, Herman Setya Budi, Tower Bersama Group’s President Director, also expressed his wish to make the Golf Tournament an annual event and as a gathering for all business partners to enjoy golf as well as a way to foster good sportsmanship and familiarity through golf.  Spirit in your heart, we're ready to start!
