TBIG Inaugurates ‘TBIG Laboratory’ as a Telecommunications Technology Training and Standardization Center

Jakarta, December 1, 2025 - PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) inaugurated TBIG Laboratory, a new training facility and standardization center designed to improve the quality of telecommunications infrastructure development and maintenance in Indonesia. The presence of this laboratory marks a strategic step by TBIG in strengthening human resource capabilities and ensuring the standardization of network installation processes in all national projects involving TBIG and its partners.

"We built the TBIG Laboratory to respond to the industry's need for competent human resources and standardized installation processes. With this facility, we ensure that every network project—especially fiber optics—meets the highest quality standards," said Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support Officer at TBIG.

TBIG Laboratory functions as an integrated learning center that allows participants to practice directly through real network simulations. The facility includes training in device installation, network quality testing using OTDR and power meters, and troubleshooting based on field case studies.

In addition to technical training, the TBIG Laboratory also functions as a Quality Assurance center, where devices and work procedures are tested before being implemented in large-scale projects. This allows TBIG to minimize the risk of installation errors, strengthen the consistency of field work quality, and provide clear technical guidelines for partners and vendors.

TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi emphasized that this facility is part of the company's long-term strategy. “The development of the TBIG Laboratory is a manifestation of our commitment to continue delivering innovation and maintaining service quality. Through the development of superior human resources and measurable processes, TBIG wants to ensure a greater contribution to the national telecommunications ecosystem,” he said.

The TBIG Laboratory is also part of TBIG's continuous competency improvement program, including the “Bangun Cerdas Bersama – Kurikulum Unggulan Pelatihan Fiber Optik – FTTH” (Build Smart Together – Leading Fiber Optic Training Curriculum – FTTH) program, which is designed to produce technical personnel who are ready to meet the needs of the ever-evolving telecommunications industry.
