TBIG Inaugurates the Construction of SMKN 7 Learning Classroom After the Palu-Donggala Earthquake and Tsunami
PALU, November 22, 2019 – Continuing the Post-Earthquake and Tsunami Recovery Program in the city of Palu - Donggala, PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") inaugurated the Learning Classroom ("RKB") at SMKN 7 Palu, Central Sulawesi. This development can run smoothly due to good communication and cooperation between the Tower Bersama Group team and the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government. Chief Assets and Operations of TBIG, Mr. Kukuh Saworo accompanied by the Regional Secretary of Central Sulawesi Province, Drs. H. Mohamad Hidayat, M.Si inaugurated the RKB building at SMKN 7 Palu on Friday (22/11).
"Currently, all students can return to learning in class. We hope that students will be more enthusiastic about learning to achieve their goals," said TBIG's Chief Asset and Operation Officer, Mr. Kukuh Saworo.
He explained, after the earthquake with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale last year, SMKN 7 was one of the schools that had quite serious damage considering that it was located near the coast. TBIG provided assistance by building 2 floors of the RKB building that was affected by the Palu – Donggala earthquake and tsunami. This facility has been used by all students of SMKN 7 Palu.
The local government very much welcomes the series of post-earthquake and tsunami recovery programs in Palu – Donggala implemented by Tower Bersama Group. "We are greatly helped by the assistance from Tower Bersama Group, especially in the field of education by building school building facilities at SMKN 7 Palu. This assistance means a lot to us, especially for the students so that they can continue their learning activities," said Drs. H. Mohamad Hidayat, M.Si, Regional Secretary of Central Sulawesi Province.
In addition to the assistance for the construction of the SMKN 7 Palu class, TBIG has previously provided food assistance and sent a medical team to provide health service assistance to disaster victims in October 2019.
