TBIG Promotes Health Literacy in Bali, Benefiting 1,200 Residents
PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving health literacy among Indonesians. Through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, TBIG has organized educational activities on healthy lifestyles, nutritious consumption, and sanitation in various regions, including the districts of Kintamani, Manggis, and Payangan in Bali.
In this latest activity, 300 families, or around 1,200 people, received training on healthy consumption patterns as well as assistance in the form of nutritious food supplies. The program also collaborated with community leaders and housewives' groups so that the knowledge gained could be disseminated more widely and sustainably at the community level.
Community enthusiasm was high. One example was expressed by Gusti Ratna Dewi (30), a resident of Tenten Village, Kintamani District. “We gained new knowledge about how to cook using healthy and nutritious local ingredients. This is very beneficial for our family,” she said.
Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support Officer at TBIG, said that health quality is closely related to consumption patterns. "By providing a basic understanding of healthy consumption patterns, we want to help families in Bali, especially children and pregnant women, achieve better health quality. In 2025, we are targeting 500 health education activities with the distribution of nutritious food aid in the 3T region.
TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi added that this activity is a tangible manifestation of the company's long-term commitment. “Our CSR program is not just a ceremonial activity, but is carried out consistently based on ESG principles, in line with the SDGs agenda, and refers to ISO 26000. That way, we ensure that each program truly provides tangible benefits to the communities around TBIG's operational areas,” he said.
Through this program, TBIG hopes to contribute to improving health literacy among the Indonesian people while supporting the government's sustainable development agenda.
