TBIG Provides Aids for Landslide Victims in Pekalongan
Jakarta, February 3, 2025 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) has show their concern for the victims of the landslide and flash floods that hit Petungkriyono District, Pekalongan Regency, Central Java, on January 20, 2025. According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) as of January 24, 2025, the disaster resulted in 24 casualties and significant material losses.
As a form of support, TBIG provided aid, which was distributed on Friday, January 31, 2025, to ease the victims’ burden. The assistance included basic necessities, cleaning equipment, and support for affected children.
"We deeply sympathize with the people of Petungkriyono who have been affected by this tragedy. TBIG is committed to help the victims by providing much-needed aid, particularly in environmental recovery and basic necessities," said TBIG President Director, Herman Setya Budi.
In Dukuh Kranji, Kedungwuni Timur Village, TBIG distributed 1,000 sets of school supplies and 100 elementary school uniforms to help children return to school. Additionally, TBIG provided mud suction pumps, disinfectant solutions, and cleaning tools to assist residents in restoring the affected areas.
Furthermore, TBIG also contributes to provide food supplies for public kitchens in Petungkriyono District. The assistance included 700 packages of dry food, 250 kg of rice, 88 liters of cooking oil, and 50 kg of sugar. Overall, the aid reached 220 households, benefiting a total of 880 people.
"We hope this assistance will support the community in overcoming this difficult time and help them recover," added Herman Setya Budi.
TBIG's support is expected to help accelerate the recovery of the affected communities and ensure that their basic needs are met in the aftermath of the disaster.
