TBIG Scales Up Flood Assistance to 25 Sites Across Sumatra as of Late January 2026
Jakarta, January 24, 2026 – PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) has further expanded its humanitarian aid distribution for communities affected by floods across the Sumatra region. In early 2026, TBIG distributed additional relief to 19 new locations spanning the provinces of Aceh and North Sumatra.
This initiative is a continuation of the emergency response operations launched by TBIG in December 2025, which initially covered six locations in Aceh (North Aceh), North Sumatra (South Tapanuli and Central Tapanuli), and West Sumatra (West Pasaman, Solok, and Agam).
The 19 additional sites include North Aceh Regency (2 locations), Aceh Tamiang (1 location), Bener Meriah (1 location), Aceh Singkil (1 location), Central Tapanuli (6 locations), North Tapanuli (2 locations), Deli Serdang (2 locations), South Tapanuli (1 location), Mandailing Natal (1 location), Sibolga Regency (1 location), and Sibolga City (1 location). These areas are prioritized for follow-up distribution to ensure that aid reaches residents who still require support during the post-disaster recovery phase.
In total, as of late January 2026, TBIG has mobilized food assistance to 25 sites across flood-affected regions in Sumatra, with the number of total beneficiaries reaching approximately 10,000 individuals.
Lie Si An, Chief of Business Support Officer of TBIG, stated that the aid implementation from mid December 2025 through late January 2026 was carried out in phases, taking into account accessibility, field conditions, and the safety of volunteer teams. “The company actively mitigates various risks in the delivery process to ensure that distribution remains sustainable, timely, high-quality, and accurately targeted,” she noted.
Meanwhile, TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi emphasized that TBIG’s involvement in this follow-up disaster management phase is part of the company's long-term commitment to supporting affected communities.
“We believe that the post-disaster recovery process requires continuous support. TBIG will continue to contribute and strengthen synergy with local governments and relevant stakeholders to ensure a more optimal recovery for the community,” Herman concluded.
