TBIG’s Commitment to Vocational Education Development Continues in 2026

Jakarta, May 6, 2026 - PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (“TBIG”)’s commitment to advancing vocational education continued in 2026. This was once again demonstrated through an industrial visit for students from SMK Mutiara 17 Agustus Bekasi, held on April 27, 2026, marking the third such event of the year.  This initiative is part of the implementation of the TBIG Flagship Curriculum program, which aims to improve the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.

Through this visit, TBIG provided students with knowledge and technical skills used in the telecommunications infrastructure industry. TBIG’s Chief of Business Support, Lie Si An, explained that this activity gave students and teachers the opportunity to learn about the practices and technologies currently used by telecommunications infrastructure providers in Indonesia, thereby better preparing them to enter this rapidly evolving industry.

Furthermore, Lie Si An emphasized that this program is held regularly and is open to all vocational high schools that wish to participate. This reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing the skills and competitiveness of vocational students so that they have better opportunities to work as professionals.

A total of 55 students and eight teachers participated in a full-day intensive training session led by TBIG’s in-house experts. During the session, participants gained hands-on experience with operational practices and the latest technologies used in the telecommunications infrastructure industry, including a basic introduction to fiber-optic technology.

TBIG President Director Herman Setya Budi emphasized that vocational education must continue to adapt to technological advancements and the dynamic needs of industry. According to him, synergy between the business sector and the education sector is key to producing a workforce that is ready for the job market.

“TBIG’s flagship curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between industry needs and school-based learning. We want to ensure that students have the relevant skills, particularly in the fields of fiber-optic technology and telecommunications operations,” said Herman.

He also emphasized that this initiative is part of TBIG’s commitment to implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs focused on the sustainable development of Indonesia’s human resources.
