TBIG Supports Post-Flood Recovery in Bekasi with Logistics Aid
Jakarta, March 14, 2025 – Heavy rainfall that has hit Jakarta and its surrounding areas over the past few weeks has caused severe flooding in several regions, including Bekasi, West Java. According to data from the Bekasi City Government as of March 7, 2025, this disaster has affected 28.152 households or approximately 86.437 people.
As a form of social responsibility and concern, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) has provided logistical assistance in the form of 1.5 tons of staple food to help ease the burden of 2,200 residents in five flood-affected locations. This aid is part of TBIG’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program under the health pillar.
Chief of Business Support TBIG, Lie Si An, stated that post-disaster humanitarian activities are a manifestation of TBIG’s commitment to supporting communities and the government in addressing social issues. "Hopefully, this assistance can help alleviate the burden of our brothers and sisters who were affected by the recent floods," he added.
President Director of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Herman Setya Budi, expressed a similar sentiment and emphasized, "One of TBIG’s CSR roles is to participate in the post-disaster recovery process by providing healthcare services and essential supplies for affected communities. TBIG’s CSR efforts not only focus on emergency response but also on critical issues such as stunting prevention and improving maternal and child nutrition. We are committed to continuously contributing to recovery and community empowerment efforts."
Through this program, TBIG aims to create a sustainable positive impact on communities affected by flooding in Jakarta and Bekasi while enhance the company’s role in supporting social development.
