Through the CSR Program "Pillar of Health" TBIG Helps Flood Victims in Riau and West Sumatra
Jakarta, 23th January 2024 – Through the CSR Program “Health Pillar”, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, (TBIG) once more provides humanitarian assistance to flood victims in three districts (Kampar district, Rokan Hulu district, and Dumai city) in Riau province and one district (Lima Puluh Kota district) in West Sumatra province. TBIG initiated a comprehensive aid distribution program to meet the immediate needs of flood-affected communities. The assistance includes major logistic support, including daily life necessities to ease the victims’ burden. Aside from major logistic support, TBIG also deployed a fleet of Mobil Klinik (Monik) which equipped to provide basic health service around the disaster area. This aims to ensure the affected resident can receive appropriate health service and immediate health attention.
PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk President Director, Herman Setya Budi stated that TBIG remain steadfast with its commitment to help affected communities in this disaster situation. He stated that “We have transformed this commitment into a sustainable social program that is implemented into a measurable manner in various operation areas of company, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, emphasized the importance of collaboration and joint efforts in overcoming the effect of natural disaster.”
The Chief of Business Support of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Lie Si An, emphasized that this activity is part of disaster response activities which are part of one of TBIG's CSR pillars, namely the Health Pillar. “We are concerned by the disaster experienced by the communities in Kampar district, Rokan Hulu district, Dumai City and Lima Puluh Kota district. We hope the assistance we provide can help the affected victims.” Assistance in the form of food package was distributed to 440 household in disaster-affected area.
