TOWER BERSAMA PROVIDES FIBER OPTIC TRAINING FOR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL TEACHERS

Jakarta, October 3, 2019 – As a form of concern for the development and progress of vocational education in the country, PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk ("TBIG") provides fiber optic training to the teaching staff of SMK Utama Bakti Palembang. The training or training carried out for three days in Jakarta is aimed at helping educational institutions narrow the gap between the quality of vocational school graduates and the standards of the world of work. This training was held at the TBIG Head Office.  

This teacher training program is part of TBIG's Corporate Social Responsibility ("CSR") program in the field of education, namely the TBIG Superior Curriculum ("KU TBIG") 2019. The KU TBIG 2019 program is a continuation of the KU TBIG 2018 program.  For this year, the city of Palembang is the implementation target.

Chief of Business Support Officer PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Lie Si An, stated that the training for vocational school teachers aims to provide a new understanding of fiber optic network material and its conditions in the field. "We are very concerned about the progress of education in the country, especially vocational education. It is hoped that through this training, vocational school teachers can come into direct contact with the quality standards used by the company. So that the material delivered to students will be in accordance with the current standards of the telecommunications industry."

The material presented in this training includes the basics of fiber optic and its practice in the field. Yuniarti Denita Sari as a teacher from SMK Utama Bakti who was one of the training participants said that this was her first training. "With this training, the questions that I have been looking for and have not found the answer to in search engines or other learning media can finally be answered."

President Director of PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk, Herman Setya Budi, welcomed the implementation of KU TBIG for vocational schools in various regions in Indonesia. "This program has entered its second year of implementation. Every year this program is refined to meet the expectations of stakeholders, including the community participating in the program."
